Arteche

The Arteche CA series is a range of current transformers up to 800 kV, based on inverted-type oil-impregnated paper insulation technology.

It is characterised by very high precision, stable throughout the equipment's lifetime (up to 0.1%), high reliability, a wide range of primary currents from 1 to 5,000 A, and a short-circuit current withstand of up to 120 kA/1 s.

The CA series covers a wide range of applications, including very low or very high currents, as well as environments subject to extreme temperatures.

Measurement transformers convert HV line currents and voltages into values that can be measured by meters and protection devices.

Current
High-voltage current transformers

Current transformers are designed to reduce current to manageable values proportional to the original primary currents. They isolate measuring instruments, meters, relays, etc. from the high-voltage circuit. Some of their characteristics:

  • Current input to various types of protection relays.
  • Ideal for installation at measurement points thanks to their very high precision.
  • Excellent frequency response, suitable for waveform quality monitoring and harmonic measurement.
  • Suitable for installation on AC filters in converter substations for HVDC projects.

Inductive
High-voltage inductive transformers

Inductive voltage transformers are designed to bring voltages down to manageable values proportional to the original primary voltages, isolating measuring instruments, meters, relays, etc. from the high-voltage circuit. Some of their characteristics:

  • Voltage input for various types of protection relays.
  • Ideal for installation at measurement points thanks to their high level of precision.
  • Suitable for high-voltage line discharge and capacitor banks.
