Use of personal data collected

The present general conditions related to the protection of personal data of use apply to every user of the site:

Memoco is responsible for the processing of personal data relating to the management of the website. This processing is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR) on the protection of privacy with regard to the processing of personal data to the free movement of data, as well as with the applicable provisions of Belgian law.

Memoco attaches great importance to transparency and the protection of personal data. Memoco therefore makes every effort to protect the confidentiality of the personal data collected and to comply with both national legislation on data collection and processing and the European Regulation No. 2016/679, the so-called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This policy details Memoco’s practices in relation to the collection of personal information as a result of simply visiting the website or as part of a contract concluded with a customer, in compliance with Memoco’s general conditions (available via the “Legal Notice” link in the footer). 

 

Purpose of the processing and types of data collected

As a user, it is recommended that you accept cookies for the optimal functioning of the site. However, each user is free not to accept them. The warning message allows you to express your consent to our cookie policy. By refusing this consent, you will still be able to access certain parts of the site, but certain functions may be limited or altered.

When you visit the website, you may provide us with a certain amount of personal data such as your name, first name and email address in order to take advantage of the services offered.

In particular, we may collect some of your personal data for external communication purposes in order to respond to your requests for information and to learn more about your expectations. In our online forms, mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk. If you do not answer the mandatory questions, we will not be able to provide you with the requested service(s).

Collected data

  • Information collected automatically each time a User accesses the Site (IP address – other information is also collected automatically without linking to the IP address and therefore respecting your anonymity in order to establish statistics and improve the content of the site (choice of language, date and time of access, search engine used etc.).
  • Name, first name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, bank details and the data necessary for the smooth running of commercial exchanges (purchases of our products or services).

 

Data Recipients

Your personal data may be communicated exclusively to certain departments of the controller or subcontractors for the purpose of executing and managing the contract.

In addition, if you submit a comment to be posted online, we may publish some of your personal data on the website. Given the characteristics of the Internet, which are the free capture of information and the difficulty, if not the impossibility, of controlling the use that could be made of it by third parties, we inform you that you can object to such publication by contacting us as indicated in article 5 below.

Memoco does not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area in connection with the activities of the website unless explicitly stated. Memoco will not disclose your data or transfer them to third parties unless such transfer is required by a competent, judicial or administrative authority.

Data is collected and processed by Memoco for the following purposes:

  • The provision of the services offered by Memoco
  • The execution of the contract between the customer and Memoco Customer administration
  • Improvement and modelling of the network
  • Promotion and development of Memoco products and services
  • Establishment of personalised information and direct marketing campaigns, including by means of electronic mail

 

Security and confidentiality of your data

Memoco takes appropriate measures to protect the security and confidentiality of your personal data and, in particular, to prevent it from being distorted, damaged or accessed by unauthorized third parties.

Memoco makes every effort to protect its network from unauthorized access and to ensure the confidentiality of your data. Access to our servers is secure and we have put in place standard backup procedures in accordance with IT standards.

Your rights

In accordance with the provisions of the law of December 8, 1992, you have the right to access, question, modify, rectify and delete your personal data. You can obtain, in an accessible form, the communication of your personal data. You may also object to the processing and distribution of your personal data. The Company reserves the right to refuse any request that is considered improper.

You may at any time and without charge request access to and/or a copy of the personal information we store in our databases. We may ask you for proof of identification before granting your request.  You also have the right to request that your data be corrected or deleted from our files if this does not make it impossible for Memoco to perform its services.

You may in any case at any time object to the processing of your Personal Data by Memoco or request the limitation of such processing.

When your data is processed in the context of a contract, you may also request that it be transmitted to you in a readable format or that it be transmitted directly to another supplier.

Your data will be kept by Memoco for the duration of the contract and for 5 years after its expiry.
