Head of Software development and IT infrastructure
MEMOCO in Louvain-la-Neuve is a dynamic and growing company where 40 motivated staff members are working together to facilitate the energy transition through the creation of innovative, technological, professional, pragmatic and sustainable solutions. MEMOCO is an expert in the field of smart metering, remote monitoring and energy control. Examples of solutions are: metering cabinets, installation and monitoring of photovoltaic meters, energy management, software, metering accessories, synchronization clocks, transformer monitoring, R&D,… The clients are large industrial companies in the energy and electricity sector and also companies in the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, evaluate and develop the engineering team (3 software developers, 1 embedded developer, 2 systems administrators, 1 web designer and externals experts)
- P&L responsibility for the engineering team
- Further develop the technology strategy in line with business objectives
- Maintain relevant past developments, accelerate current developments and prepare future developments
- Help your team in understanding, structuring and challenging our clients’ needs by leading various business development and iteration meetings
- Maintain the good relationship with clients and meet their expectations while respecting agreed budget and resource allocation
- Implement and follow-up the Agile Methodology
- Participate in and monitor the implementation of the ISO 9001-14001-45001 approach (continuous improvement: quality, processes, etc.) specifically on the quality assurance and data protection processes.
- Oversee the system infrastructure for quality of service, resiliency, efficiency and data protection processes
- Stay up-to-date on technologies to share a large vision on IT engineering, tooling and architecture offering a competitive advantage
- Report directly to the CEO
Key Qualifications
- Master degree in information technology, computer technology, or a similar field and experience with similar tasks
- Strong people management and coaching skills
- The ambition to become an all-round project manager and experience with Agile methodology
- Good communication skills, fluent in English, French and Dutch are a plus
- Knowledge of software and hardware development as well as infrastructure
- Knowledge of Linux, bash and MongoDB
