Dynamic beaconing

Memoco is very proud of this dynamic beaconing project, which represents a significant step forward for the energy transition. This innovation is the result of a collaboration between Eneco, the Air Force, Memoco (formerly Greenwatch) and Edora!

Thanks to our team, an innovative solution has been developed and implemented: giving the possibility to activate or deactivate the lights of the wind turbines when they are not needed. It is called dynamic beaconing.

Remotely switching off the lights of wind turbines is now possible!

It is a hardware and software development that guarantees the safety of the drivers and takes into account the inconvenience caused by the lights for residents. Switching off the lights of Eneco’s wind turbines is now possible by remote control!

Thanks to our expertise, we have developed the system from A to Z, from the local electronic control board to the dynamic beaconing software.

The challenge was a big one because strict specifications had to be met. The Air Force had to be in control of the system, and we needed to guarantee assistance at any time should a failure be detected. These months of tests were conclusive, and they enabled us to demonstrate the reliability of the local electronic control board solution to our software available to the Defense.
